Information for Accredited Hand Therapists undertaking supervision of an Associate
Supervision
An accredited member will be approved to supervise Associate members, complete peer reviews for acreditation and mentor members returning to practice after a prolonged leave of absence as follows:
Entry requirements
- Who has had a minimum of 5 years continuous membership within HTNZ, the last two as an accredited hand therapist.
- Overseas-trained applicants may be approved with equivalent hand therapy experience on a case-by-case basis by the HTNZ Executive Committee.
- Completion of an HTNZ-approved supervision course - in addition to the 8 hour course provied by HTNZ please check this page for those instituions who have had courses approved.
Maintenance Criteria for Accredited Members undertaking supervision of Associate members of HTNZ
- Must accrue 80 points every 2 years (log book to be submitted).
- Completion of the HTNZ-approved supervision course every 5 years.
