Julie Rouse was a physiotherapist and hand therapist who had a long association with HTNZ and was instrumental in establishing HTNZ. After Julie Rouse died in 2016, her husband, Craig, wished to honour her hand therapy career and legacy by establishing a prize to be awarded at the annual HTNZ conference. The prize is awarded to the person who presented the best free paper presentation.
