Merivale Hand Therapy

08/08/2024 Come and work with us! The Merivale Hand Clinic is looking for a hand therapist to join our team. We welcome both registered hand therapists and physiotherapists or occupational therapists with experience or interest in hand therapy.
The Merivale Hand Clinic is the largest provider of hand therapy services in the South Island, delivering expertise in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of hand, wrist and forearm conditions. Our current team of 14 hand therapists and five administrators are a happy and collaborative team who work together to support each other and our patients.
The Merivale Hand Clinic operates four fulltime clinics and our therapists also work at an acute care fracture clinic and within a surgeons’ clinic facility. We work closely with local physios, GPs and surgeons. We aim to provide career and clinical opportunities to keep work interesting.
We have a structured mentoring programme for all new staff which includes regular teaching and supervision with our senior hand therapists during your first year working at the clinic. We also provide the necessary support to help you achieve registration with Hand Therapy New Zealand. We have regular in-service training with visiting speakers, and always encourage therapists to share their skills and experience with the team.
The position is open to both registered and associate hand therapists. The position offered can be full or part time with a negotiable start date. The remuneration package includes
- a structured CPD program
- an annual CPD allowance
- payment of professional membership fees
- a structured pay scale recognising qualifications, experience and responsibility.
